Residents and businesses in parts of 14 counties can sign up for AT&T’s innovative Fixed Wireless Internet¹ This follows the launch of Fixed Wireless Internet in parts of North Carolina in June, as part of our FCC Connect America Fund commitment.
We plan to provide access to over 1.1 million locations by 2020.
In North Carolina alone, we have committed to providing access to 13,000 locations by 2020, reaching more than 40 percent of that goal by the end of this year.
The connection comes from a wireless tower to a fixed antenna on customers’ homes or businesses. This is an efficient way to deliver high-quality, high-speed internet to customers, many getting access to high-speed internet for the first time.
