A father's pride

When your son, and namesake, leads the Marine Corp detachment, escorting the commander-in-chief in an Inaugural Parade, it’s impossible not to feel proud. Just ask Macon Grissom of Raleigh.

Of all the assignments Captain Macon “Trey” Grissom III has done in his Marine Corp career, “undoubtedly the coolest” was leading a platoon as part of the presidential escort for the 58th presidential inauguration parade in January.

Grissom, from Garner, is the son of Macon Grissom, Jr., a manager on the AT&T Government and Education Solutions team. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he has been deployed in Afghanistan, South Korea and Okinawa. He is currently stationed in Washington, D.C.

AT&T has a long history of supporting military personnel, veterans and their families, including offering discount programs. If you, or a family member, have worn our country’s uniform, thank you for serving America.
